Your instinctive reaction to a Chinese saying 'Hello' on the street is 'Bu yao'..

Hahaha! Good one!

Try the coatal towns in Suffolk or Cornwall, much nicer

Dunwich in norfolk is fantastic. Norfolk and suffolk are my favourite places in Britain. Used to go there every summer to see the family.
You know that every time I try to go
Where I really want to be
It's already where I am
'Cause I'm already there

It's funny as the elevators back in Britain also have the close door button...but it doesn't seem to make a difference. The ones in China are like guillotines in some places. You hit it and the door snaps shut instantly.

Still I dislike it when you are waiting on a lift, it arrives and someone hits the button before you even get in, had that done a couple of times, was fuming.

To seanboyce88,yes, it's rude to press the close button before others get in. I read somewhere that pressing the close button is a huge waste of electricity.ps I can't reply with  your quotes.

You find yourself kicking the car that has just cut you off in a crosswalk when you have the walk light.
