If you weren't so embedded in sinophobia, you should realize that
the Japanese kept and preserved the best of Chinese culture.  You can see it in  Nara and Kyoto which were modeled after the ancient Chinese capitol.  It's the Chinese themselves who threw away
the best aspects of their cultural identity.

Actually, the West FEARS everybody, as long as it will result in appropriations to the appropriate entities to take the appropriate actions against the appropriate villains.  FEAR makes GREED look reasonable.

I don't think most westerners feel threatened by China. Those that do only feel that way because of China's economic rise.
The car is red. I am not.

the west fears the low quality stuff thats being exported.
