When you watch Western movies and series you have quite often a plot in which the antagonists are corrupt policemen or politicians or powerhungry generals.

For example in the series Person of Interest the main actors are dealing with corrupt US marshalls and a whole corrupt police department. This is just one of many examples.

I never noticed anything like that in Chinese movies and series although these things happen around here also quite frequently and can be considered a part of the daily life.

So are there any movies where you have these kind of antagonists? And if not then why?

It is forbidden in China to depict the police, the government or the CCP officials as corrupt.
Spreading magic around the world since 2007.

Even if it is just one cop or general?

Or how about other motives like fanatism or hatred in general or personal reasons beyond money?

There are many many more motivations for an antagonists than just money.
Or is it in general not allowed to portray any member of the police, the government or the army as an antagonist?
If that is the case then I will have to ask why? They are taking away great potential for movies which so far are not really good plotwise (even many Chinese think that way) and find not much acknowledgement abroad.
