I don't think "disaster" will strike Russian economy. Just like it really isn't happening in US or European economies, just increasingly more lackluster. The need alot of investment to move a way from being so reliant on natural resources exports, scaring away investors isn't helping.

Indeed, and if the Xinjiangers and Tibetters wanted to "break away" like Crimea's Russian majority, then of course this would meet the approval of all, as well !

The difference is Taiwan, Tibet and Xinjiang are all historically part of China.

or
returning something to where it belongs.
Usually if you take something you get permission or ask.
Of course homesick Russians who were never born in Russia will say Crimea belongs to Russia after 50 odd years
