The land area of China is about the same as the US yet China has more than 430% more people. Does anyone have any theories as to why China has such a huge population?

I personally think it has to do with poverty, with no money sex was the only way for people to find any enjoyment.

Any opinions?

i used to resent queues in India, because they were often not real queues (with some bullies or well ...

But seriously have you not experienced the "line jumpers" in China? That is not civilized behavior. You don't see it in the USA

my direct experiences in China are for a very short time during which I did not see queue jumping at the airport or at the hotel I stayed. I am sure there are such and it is uncivilized. I am sure China is not perfect, just like India is not all imperfect. I just liked this post showing long, long lines with such a large crowd and no stampede. It might not be the complete picture in China. Just wanted to say it is still a pretty picture to see all that many queues forming anywhere. It is indicative of something good if people change a traditional greeting to "Have you queued?", a change in culture that reflects well, particularly after what I have experienced. I have a thing about queues..

Majority time, i abided by the rule of queuing, but if I am angery for the messy situation and no way to complain, i will get what i wanted anyway through queue jumping, of course this sistuation is rare appearing in my life, thus i am always the loser, just like in real life.
