It's on the evening news and they are saying it's not terrorism.
Of course if this happened to a U.S. consulate in China you can bet terrorism would be popping up
all over the news in the U.S.
If capitalism promotes innovation and creativity then why aren't scientists and artists the richest people in a capitalist nation?

I just read that actually. And I agree.

How is this not an act of terror?

I don't know how it could not be an act of terrorism.
An embassy?
If someone poured a flammable on my front door in the middle of the night and lit it on fire
I'd call it an act of terrorizing. I wouldn't open the flaming door and say.. "humm.. must be some
naughty kids".

The very latest on the local TV news about the Embassy torching.
"Police believe it is a criminal matter and not an act of national security" that's what was just on the news here in the USA.

"In 2008 there was a similar incident on this embassy. It was believed at the time it might have been instigated by
China's crackdown on Tibet"

I'm not making this up. Here in the USA the torching of the Chinese embassy is minimized while the media uses this as
an opportunity to take a pot shot at China. Tibet more a part of China than Texas is of the USA... the insanity of the
western press. Just part of the ongoing indoctrination.

Who would do this? And why?

This makes no sense to me.

Someone is not happy with the Chinese government, is my guess
Stan, you're holding a gun to God's head. I can't think of a metaphor that's better than this.
