It is crucially important to back the right horse in foreign policy.
Mikhail Gorbachev should serve as a warning to all Chinese leaders.

The fool Goberchev backed the British ultra-rightist reformist Margaret Thatcher. He became totally absorbed by her persona and thoughts, that he came up with his own version of Soviet Thatcherism which he dubbed "Perestroika".

Of course we all know what happened to Gorbi's Soviet Empire.

"Chinese money work miracles", as one London banker was heard quoting.

The UK's economic turn round seem to be the proof in the pudding!

"UK 'Will Replace Germany As Europe's Top Economy By 2030", beamed the British media.

The Chinese are building for the British nuclear power plant to generate electricity the British don't have.
They are investing up to half a billion GBP in partnership with BT to update their rusty copper wiring telecom infrastructure.
The Chinese are pouring in billions building for the Brits student accommodation.
They have already helped and installed safe air travel for the British by investing in British airport.

What are the Chinese getting out of their charitable gestures to the British?

Yes, you are seeing blanks.

Because that's that exactly what the Chinese are getting back from the British.........

Nothing......, but insults.

For the past five hundred years and more, the British has regarded China and its people as adversaries.

They still do, according to the materials posted by Edward Snowdon.

So my question is, "Does the new Chinese leadership believe the British will be our new found friends in the West?"
