The only contact we make with vegetable stall-keeper happens in the street market when we buy vegetables. And we all know there job is not that easy. They need to go to farmer's market in the very early morning to get input and check the quality. They get back to open the stand in the morning. Then they sort the vegetables and offer door - door service to hotels and schools. Usually they pack up their shop till 11:30 in the evening. After that rotten vegetables also need to be dealt with. Even though, never did they want to give up for the whole family need to be supported with the meager income.
To improve these vegetable stall-keepers’ situation, maybe it’s high time for the government to do something. Personally, these vegetable stall-keepers should be given allowances and subsidies. And the government should at least help them to build shelter from the coldness and rain.
I just wonder whether vegetable stall-keepers in Europe and America are also in such a pitiable state. And is there any other ways for Chinese government to do something?
