BEIJING - Chinese military on Friday accused Japan of using the pretext of safeguarding its own national security and regional peace for military expansion.
The Japanese government approved its first national security strategy on Tuesday. Based on it, new defense program guidelines and a mid-term defense buildup plan were also adopted.
"China is firmly opposed to Japan's relevant actions," said D ...

Japan has a weird sense of humor.
Japan's "peace loving" actions slaughtered 50 millions in Asia and destroyed millions and millions of home, villages and cities.
China should show a few photos of the carnage caused by Japan's "peace loving actions" in China.

Japan provoked China by Unilaterally nationalizing Chinese Dioayu island.
Japan is too stupid to realize China will not take any humiliation from Japan anymore.
When China took very mild defense action,, Japan seized the opportunity to
clamor for military build up in Japan.
To Nationalize someone else's island is Aggression, not peace loving.
Chinese defense is peace loving as China is trying to deter further aggression

"Chinese military on Friday accused Japan of using the pretext of safeguarding its own national security and regional peace for military expansion."

Does China operate on vastly different principles to Japan ?

What pretexts does China have for expanding its own military power: disregarding its national security and / or seeking regional war ?

"China is firmly opposed to Japan's relevant actions"

Does that statement have any relevant meaning ? How does China feel about Japan's irrelevant actions ?

"Japan is peddling the so-called "proactive pacifism"

And what is China aiming to achieve by expanding its own military arsenal such as the new aircraft carrier : active aggression ?

"Where is Japan's military and security policy going? Geng questioned, adding that it causes great concerns from Japan's Asian neighbors and international society."

And everyone in Asia is over the moon about China's expanding military power and its changing policies such as the new air zone ? No-one else has complained about these ?

"Japan claimed that it respects freedom, democracy, human rights and the rule of law"

China has many restrictions on individual's freedoms, democracy doesn't exist, its human rights record is far from perfect, and the rule of law is corrupted by nepotism and bribery. China remains in denial about its own more recent history such as the treatment of its own people.

"Japan's actions run counter to the trend of the times featuring peaceful development and win-win cooperation"

Japanese diplomats are no doubt capable of using far fewer cliches than those doled out by Chinese spokesmen, the latter more closely resembling a child that petulantly tosses its toys out of the crib.

China's not in the middle of an arms build up?
Stan, you're holding a gun to God's head. I can't think of a metaphor that's better than this.
