Would China lose face if traffic police wear masks in smog?   [Copy link] 中文

They are not allow to wear face masks on their own but they sometimes get black face masks from their department, isn't it true? I check news about Beijing traffic police wore black masks on March this year.
And Shanghai traffic police wear nose plugs on trial, which called "invisable mask".
Photo from Baike said those nose air filters are from an Italian company. Can they filter PM 2.5?
Anyone comment on this filter?

It's name--nasal air filter, disposable filtering device
What's the efficiency? How much environmental cost it takes to produce?

I don't think it'll work.
When they use that, they'll have to breathe with mouths
