Mandela was the leader of the ANC who were not very nice, now I know the western white love the blacks to the extent that britains flag at number 10 is going to fly at half mast just because of the slavery guilt, but where is the guilt over the biggest crimes committed in India in british history? I did not see the british flags flying at half mast when Indira Gandhi was assassinated! Mandela lived a much longer life than most people do with the support of the whites westerners and south africa he's had a good life, now we won't stop hearing about him for weeks on end especially by the west who loves blacks far more.

Madiba in everlasting peace! The most important lesson and philosophical idea he had shown the world is forgiveness and reconciliation. That is sgnificant as it was introduced after harsh dominance and violence excercised over his people under the long apartheid system. None of the world leaders can challenge him with regard to indifference to political power in hand. The pity is that South Africa still remains far away from a rainbow nation drawn in his imagination as some of the ANC leaders have been in corruption or in pursuit of private benefits.
