That is a reasonable proposition. If you ship Chinese instant noodles, blankets, tents to the Phil ...

Yeah, give them useful articles instead of money, which could be appropriated, buying luxurious goods, for example.

Now I don't worry now. At least our money won't be used to buy guns and bullets to kill our fishermen.

Bravos, I think it is 10 million yuan (US$1.75 million). Still, it is much better than $200 000 and should do some real good.

Some of the posters here seem to suggest that China should let kids die, because the Philippines is not a friend. There are people like that in every country, but I am surprised that so few Chinese posters saw how $200 000 was not only inhumane, but also trashing China's reputation.

The amount of the donated money is not so critical to decide a country‘s contribution to  an event.

Timely reach out helping hands is quiet important.

It never came to your mind, that it is the same feeling on the side of the Philippines ?

You do not think, they got hurt by China's actions ?

You do not think of the Philippine fishermen's who used to fish in and around Scarborough Shoal ?

Now they are driven away by Chinese ships. They cannot catch that many fishes anymore.

Some had to give up fishing all along.

And it is all within the 200 Nautical Miles EEC of the Philippines.

You don't think they are hurt as much as you claim you have been hurt ?

You don't think, that in such a case calling for arbitration is a wrong step ?

Sorry, every coin has two sides.
