When I visit another city, I like to ride the subway. It's interesting to see how different one subway or metro system can be from another. The older ones may have better decorated stations, whereas newer ones look more modern. Even the cars have somewhat different designs.
Here are some pictures of subway trains in different cities. Feel free to add your own pictures!

Boston's subways, trains, buses and stations do need a lift into the more modern age, but are still functional. In the USA, I cannot say that any of the public transit system is adequate, for they all need a face lift!

I was surprised by how old Boston's subway cars are.
Stations, I think, are actually more interesting when they haven't been remodeled. But cars need to be replaced every so often.
The car is red. I am not.

We like old things here in New England, not because we are so tight with our money, of that we are, as much as we are into historic value. I'm sure the whole nation would like to modernize all the public transportation systems but nobody want to spend the money. The other problem is that if we made it easier to use public transportation, the auto industry will cry foul play!
