his parents appear to have not done so.

The evidence for your slanderous remark?

Oh spare us the affectation of moral fortitude, you slanderous, syphillitic goat-herder who lives in a Mongkok sewer.....

His parents are solely responsible for his moral education and well being, and given he has been found guilty and duly sentenced by a court of law of acting (grossly) outside of the societal norms, they would appear to have failed in that responsibility.

Or are you going to argue that it is the responsibility of the State, since they have ownership of everything in China?

There is a phrase in English "Spare the rod and spoil the child".

It means that parents who do not ...

For me , if Li borned in a poor family, he would be a good kid.

I remembered the guy said " my father is Ligang." I think this two cases are excatly the same root problems and there are more around and will be more like that case keep happening in China.

Money and power are both evils if you do not play them well as we said.

well, surnamed Li surely paid a lot for his doing. He faily deserves it.

nevertheless, what about other crimes in china involved celebrities and
offices.
china's authority or court always judge criminals whth cosidering
all sorts of circumstances.
what we necessarily should practice is
establishing a fair and equal social value.
however, i gotta to say there
still a long way to go.

very much agree with u.

li is only 17, a minor. if china's law says he is punishable as an adult, so be it n i hope he will learn his lesson n become a better adult when he completes his jail term.

but again, for ppl like li n his parents china n chinese ppl must support his punishment not becoz of his privileged upbringing but becoz he committed a serious crime n deserve the punishment, or they will lose faith in china, n china n the chinese ppl will gain nothing.

china needs to do the right thing - the rich n privileged shd not be let off but becoz of their advantageous position but shd be punished just as any chinese ppl; n punished/treated justly.

What you said is true also, I heard that often from adults . Even I saw some parents fought for their kids problem, no one said it was their child faults instead of pointing fingers to others.
