Japan is a very well developed country. The people are generally well mannered and disciplined. Except for a handful, they are not rowdy and always conscious of keeping their surroundings clean. Yes, I would definitely want to visit this country for the Olympics.

Yeah it's considered a safe distance from the Syria conflict if you place yor bet from Japan.

A head nurse and an engineer hubby can't afford to go? Are you both working for peanuts?

We will be living in the USA at that time. Between a mortgage, car payments, tuition payments for 3 children to attend private school, charitable giving, retirement savings, saving for my children to go to college, medical costs, etc, it doesn't leave a lot of extra "fun money" to fly from Chicago to Tokyo, spend a week in Tokyo hotels (which will be extremely inflated due to the Olympics) , buy food, and purchase tickets to see an event. My husband and I make enough money that we COULD go to the event. As responsible people, however, we choose to use our money in different ways.
