TRYING TO INVEST ONE TRILLION DOLLARS ABROAD IS STUPID WHEN THE YUAN IS SO OVERVALUED THAT NO FOREIG ...

Couple of things you seem to have missed.

The overseas investment is likely to be over a period of 10 years. In the next decade, I do hope China floats the RMB so that it will be freely convertible. At the moment, China has one foot in the capitalist world and the other in the communist world. One cannot be a little bit pregnant, either you are or you are not.

The big question is whether there is someone convincing and assertive enough to nudge the moribund CCP over the line. Xi seems to be capable, but I won't hold my breadth.

At a guess ( an educated guess ), the bulk of the forex holding that China plans to invest overseas is denominated in USD, there is no question of conversion.

Investing into BRICS is a good alternative, but the geo-politcal risks are higher, in some cases much higher. If I were given a choice, I'd approach India for joint energy related investments such as nuclear power plants and power distribution grids.

Someone posted that we should invest in Chinese infrastructure. I think the person missed some important points about investments. We raise money to invest in our infrastructure by issueing bonds such as infrastructure bonds. In that manner, the Chinese people, hopefully, benefit both from the bonds and increased productivity from the improved infrastrcuture. I see the 1 trillion investment overseas more like Singapore's Temasek.

a little, why do you ask about detroit.  The chinese are wasting their money on Detroit.  The american workers are lazy, arrogant, do terrible job, want too much money.  The chinese make big mistake investing in detroit.  Even japan who build honda and toyota factory in america has moved many of their factories to thailand.  US workers are useless.

You are obviously a well trained stooge of the western capitalists, the most skilled thieves in the world.
China is far less corrupt than the west.
If capitalism promotes innovation and creativity then why aren't scientists and artists the richest people in a capitalist nation?

I did contribute something sensible. Why on earth would you think China has more corruption than
the USA unless you are a brainwashed stooge?
