It says a lot about the relations between modern asian countries

Asian countries, so prompts to prepare war,

so lazy to talk about peace and how to build a a peaceful future.

We chinese call people in South Korea "Bangzi".

Which by the way is ridiculous since the "Bangzi" came mostly from North Korea...

Why's that?

During the Sino-Japanese war the Japanese enrolled Korean to act as "Chengguan" in Northern China and gave them stick to beat the Chinese (Bang means stick). The name stuck.

However, as I pointed in my reply to Sky_Walker, the origin of these Koreans was mostly from the neighboring provinces of China which would put them in current day North Korea. So calling the South Korean "Bangzi" seems not only inappropriate but historically inaccurate.

In the OP's article, some people said the news anchor should apologize to the Chinese people for his comment. Yet nobody deems proper to stop calling Korean names and to apologize for calling them names.
