Personally, I think it is very selfish where wives are encouraged to keep their Chinese citizenship. ...

I don't know what kind of people you know prompting this response but I only had my wife's best interest in mind.

Whew... looks like L31_G0NG_L41 got his panties in a wad.
Whether you are American or Chinese my point is there IS NO FAMILY VISA or special treatments in either Country, its a TOURIST VISA (L in China, B1/B2 for the US) - end of story.
I know many Chinese who have a US green card, have immigrated, have children born in China who have both PRC and US passports. If they travel DIRECTLY to/from either Country they are required to have a Tourist/Student Visa every year in one or the other passport to get past the security checkpoint on either end. You can't use a PRC passport without a valid US Visa, you can't use a US passport without a valid Chinese Visa. The only way around that is to travel through HK every time and switch them out before crossing like Ducky said - but if caught its a big deal.
I'm just here for the money

Have you ever regretted your decision?

no, although I wish I had come back sooner. 10 years in the US is enough.
