The Philippines' seizure of Ren'ai Reef in the South China Sea is unacceptable to China, a Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said Friday.

Spokeswoman Hua Chunying said at a regular press briefing that China's determination and will to safeguard its national sovereignty is unswerving.

China has indisputable sovereignty over the Nansha Islands and its surrounding waters, which include Ren'ai Reef, she said.

The comments came after a Philippine security official said Wednesday that the country had deployed a fresh batch of marines and supplies to Ren'ai Reef.

The spokeswoman urged the Philippines to cease all provocative acts and work together with China to safeguard peace and stability in the South China Sea.

The unreal mouse is attacking the elephant, emboldened by the lion standing roaring behind him.  However, truly and honestly, the lion cannot stop the mouse from being squashed before he could deliver the elephant a bite.  The Philippines is giving up a priceless opportunity to get something for nothing by simply talking to China on the basis of the truth, that Mr. Tomas' claim of Pagasa and the Spratly Islands is plainly invalid.  China will reward the Philippines for simply acknowledging the truth.  And the Philippines refused.  Could you imagine that?  Greed, covetousness, blinds those who could have won a jackpot in sharing the resource of China in the Spratly Islands, by simply acknowledging China owns them, which she does.  It is like someone tearing up a winning Lotto ticket because the clerk refused to refund him the price of the lottery ticket that he took from the real owner's pocket, and did not really own. This, in a nutshell, encapsulates the Philippine position on the Spratly Islands.
