I think the Falklands should have their own member of Parliament but it is wise to remain a British protectorate with all the Argybargy on the horizon.

But tell me, when did Argentina establish a government sponsored colony in the Falklands and how long did the Argentine government administer it?

Again I ask you do you not respect the wishes of the residents? They choose to stay with the UK and not to be independant. If the UK pulled out how long would the be independant before the Argies invaded? The British army only went in after an illegal invasion by Argentina who thought that they could get away with it. Are you saying that the Brits should have ignored the invasion?
