SOMETIMES I MAKE STUFF.....SOMETIMES I JOINT VENTURE STUFF....SOMETIMES I BUY STUFF...

NO MATTER  ...

You make solar cells?

What kind? Thin film, amorphous, crystalline? What chemistry do you use?
What gear are you required to wear when you're working in the factory?
If capitalism promotes innovation and creativity then why aren't scientists and artists the richest people in a capitalist nation?

I find that these acquisitions and investments will certainly help China, but I don't think the Chinese will benefit. I have a friend that works at a western company - McDonald's for 18 kuai/hour. 18 RMB is equivalent to $3.00/hour in the US. The cost of food in McDonald's in China is about 4 times more than a meal in a small Chinese restaurant. These things are merely a display of the rich getting richer.

And we talk about China creating. Well, I mean is there a need for China to innovate. What else is needed in the world for people to consume? We have enough websites, enough products, enough this and too much of that. Perhaps we should find ways to reduce our consumption footprint. And to those of you who say the Chinese have a hard time running a business have never been to China. There are businesses that have been around for years and years. Just because something does not look like yours look does not mean yours is better. It's just different.

Little Robbie is too scared to go to China.

He can;t even find his way to the bus stop that goes  ...

He couldn't afford a plane ticket.

I was thinking more like he couldn't afford a bus ticket...

Well, he's admitted countless times that he has no job, he's poor, he has no education, isn't there an 'organization' that will help people like him?  He could always try swimming or hitch-hiking.
