( a new joker emerged in south america)

Whatever you may have thought of former Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, at least there were no doubts about his sanity. Chavez’ successor, acting President Nicolas Maduro believes that the United States had a hand in infecting Chavez with cancer. That was easy to dismiss as just an attempt to pander for the support of Chavez supporters and consolidate his power as president.

Now there is some real question if Maduro lives in a world of fantasy and conspiracy, and whether he really believes it. The selection of Argentine Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio as Pope Francis is groundbreaking in many ways. One of the most obvious of those developments is that he is the first pope from the Southern Hemisphere. Even more specifically, he is the first Pope from Latin America where large portions of the world’s Catholics reside.

Maduro has an interesting explanation for the selection of the first South American Pope. It seems that Catholics can thank Chavez who, according to Maduro, persuaded Christ it was time for a Pope from the Western Hemisphere.

“We know that our commander ascended to the heights and is face-to-face with Christ,” Maduro said at a Caracas book fair. “Something influenced the choice of a South American pope, someone new arrived at Christ’s side and said to him: ‘Well, it seems to us South America’s time has come.’”

Oh, yes, this new Venezuelan President is going to be interesting.

“He (Chavez) may also call a constitutional assembly in Heaven at any moment to change the (Catholic) church on Earth so the people, the pure people of Christ, may govern the world,” Maduro added.

Wait. They have a constitution in Heaven? {:soso_e113:}

Elections for a permanent successor to Chavez are scheduled for April 14. If Maduro wins, his rule promises to make Chavez look almost boring.

Denial, according the psychoanalysts, is one of the most primary mechanisms of defense. It consists in the attitude of denying or minimizing obvious facts of reality with which the individual can´t  cope or whose irresponsibility is unable to meet.

And I agree.

Rather a boring Maduro...
at least he's for the people of Venezuela...
and can't be bought by the west
It takes about 40 muscles to smile, but only 4 to pull the trigger of a decent rifle
