17 people died in car bomings and dozens more injured in Iraq today. It seems we can heard similar reports every other day from this country.

Is today's Iraq better than it was in Saddam's days?

I'd like to hear your opnions. {:soso_e115:}

Thanks for your input.

You see back in Saddam's day no one had a gun and only the government did the killing  .......

Now, in the Iraqi democracy everyone has guns and bombs and you can kill who you want to.  So there is a great deal more choice and human rights  ..........

No ...

Neither scenario sounds good.

It's a pity that it seems none of the forum members here is from Iraq. I wish to know are they feel happier today than they were in Saddam's days. That's the most important thing.

Sure they might be happier as a great many of them are now dead and have no worries, or living in other countries, so they must be happier  ......

Under Saddam I don't think many of them got to go away, and they had to worry about increasing wealth and women's rights until sanctions of course  ........

I am sure the American oil companies are very happy  ..........
