Good football starts at a grass roots level and will only improve in China if things start at the bottom. In the UK and many other countries nearly every boy kicks a ball around in the school playground and its goes on from here.
Unfortunately sports are overlooked by the average Chinese school

I am appalled at what they earn circa £175,000 PW. THAT IS SICK

that's so true and they need to adopt extra curriculum like sports not just bookworm

This would also help the growing problem of childhood obesity but in the academic results driven culture in China this is not likely to happen

that's much is true and not join local gang like i did in the late 60s (yes, i'm a bad apple from my family tree)
