A Chinese gadget blog reports that Apple might be teaming up with Intel to manufacture a "smart watch".|
The Bluetooth watch would debut sometime in the first half of 2013, the report says.
Consumers have previously used the sixth-generation iPod Nano as a watch, with third parties producing wristbands for the product.
But TechCrunch writer Jordan Crook said he was taking the news with a grain of salt.
"Even if Apple is making a watch, it will be quite a while before we see any real evidence of it," he said.
"Plus, there's no proven market for smart watches yet, even with the success of Pebble and Metawatch."
