Nope

I'd miss my kids and Grandkids, 2/3 weeks is enough each time.

I might even miss my Wife If I couldn't put the washing and ironing in a shop to be done for me

Would happily spend my dotage in China, hopefully the rules will be eased in the future allowing people who have worked and paid their taxes in China to retire there.

Maybe you should look more closely at the situation.
I'd say that out of the 500 or so women you h ...

Actually, many women looking for a foreign husband want to leave and that includes women from all aspects of life in China and I know this because I know many such women, as friends.
Robert, you really don't have much of a clue and if you think your SS will sustain you here, think again unless you like eating street food most of the time etc. If your SS pays you USD1000/month, depending on where you live, that's not going to be enough really, especially if you want to travel and sightsee etc. Of course your wife's pension may make a difference but to the best of my knowledge, Chinese pensions aren't all that great!
i do wish you luck though, getting the visa every year and getting medical care when you need it etc. There is a myriad of things you just don't really know until you've experienced it and a few short holidays and talking to some folks doesn't really give a fully formed picture upon which to make a decision.
As for condo's, mostly, they're a tad differrent here! I expect you know that though so no need to go further on that one.
