Pot or skunk in my experience ( not that often ) is far less harmful than cigarettes and alcohol ,|
but still has negative side effects,i.e lost of awareness, feelings of paranoia and is more addictive
than, cigs and booze.
I once knew a bunch of Vietnamese immigrants in Lewisham and if you sat them down with a couple
of ounces of skunk, the four of them would constantly light up one after another until the last
gramme was gone.
This was in the 90's, I've not been in contact with anyone of them for over twenty years now.
But out of the blue one day , a mate of mine told me that one of the boys wanted to get in touch,
so eventually I called him up to see how he was, and whether he'd quit that habit?, to my surprise
he'd said that he had, and I praised him and saying to him that he had made the right choice.
Because when you are stoned most of the time of the day, you just couldn't function and be
productive in society. So I gets off the phone, and my other friend who gave me his number, told
me the real reasons why the boy wanted to contact me , and those reasons were to borrow money
and also he was still heavily into skunk.
The moral of this tale is that after over two decades, here was once a young man who had not
progressed in adulthood and all because of the addiction to skunk.
Then there was his mate who I inquired about during our brief conversation, to which he said that
he'd passed away many years ago through overdosing on harder drugs.
My conclusion is that pot, cannabis, and skunk if taken in moderation could be beneficial
to certain individuals, but if not , it could be detrimental to their lives.
