It depends on what part of the world you're from and if you can understand a child's mind/heart.  Children like to be close to their parents, and they don't choose to have a rich family  - as long as they are loved.  These children understand their parents make a living by selling products in a market, and it's also their responsibility to help as much as possible.  

it's different in a western country.  These are considered child labor because the western laws say so.  If you take the Chinese culture to a western world, it won't make sense, but if you walk in their shoes for many generations, you would understand being with your family is not bitterness or poor - it's considered fortunate that you've a family close to you.

I'm from both sides of the cultures and I see differently from a native westerner.

They do look happy yes.
Most western kids might force themselves to do it IF THEY CAN TAKE THEIR iPAD
