Hello, I am a Canadian university student, studying commerce. My application for an exchange to UIBE (http://www.uibe.edu.cn/) has been accepted and I will be going there from February until May next year. I am an undergraduate student, but I will be taking some graduate courses. I'm only taking 2-3 courses, so I'll probably have a lot more spare time than the average international student. Also, I only speak English. {:soso_e115:}

I'm excited, but I'm going alone and I don't know what to expect from student life as a foreigner in Beijing. Does anybody have any advice or wisdom they could share with me?

Thank you. {:soso_e100:}

Make a point of knowing where the Ecuador Embassy is, Canuck. You never know if you're gonna be next in line for persecution!
