Zou Shiming won his second successive Olympic gold medal on Saturday, beating Thailand's Kaeo Pongprayoon in a battle of two of the oldest fighters at the London Games to cap his total dominance of the light-flyweight division.

China's Soviet training system will always produce results in sports which require precise repetitive movements in static environments. But as soon as the sport requires any kind of strategy, thinking, innovation or spontaneity, China will fare poorly. China just does not have a strong sporting culture, outside of a few games like badminton and table tennis (which almost no other countries take seriously, thus guaranteeing China domination). Chinese also lack the power and size and genetics for athletics and swimming, so they will never do well in these sports (but will win the odd medal). BTW, as far as I know there has NEVER been a case of a female athlete outperforming the male champion in a major event till these olympics, where one female swimmer swam faster in her final leg than the male champion. That's why there are strong suspicians about the feat (not even mentioning the long history behind the problem).
