Do you think that the supply of weapons has helped any peace in Afghanistan ......... ?

And maybe ...

It's not meant to provide 'peace in afghanistan' but rather to keep the US bleeding.  Obviously, some people think this is worth the price of the lives of afghans.

Those Afghans might well see themselves as 'freedom fighters' and the same as some in Iraq .........

Depending on the ideology .............

Sure, but those supplying the weapons have another goal.  Their goal is to prolong the war to further bankrupt the US.  Hey, it worked for the soviet union - they were just smart enough to get out of the game much earlier.

I don't think they give a damn about the 'freedom fighters'.

It was proven in iraq that the insurgents were responsible for the majority of deaths in the war.

Same motives as the saudis here - supplying weapons to the rebels amounts to a proxy war with Iran.

And Syria according to you is a pure thing without these scurrilous intentions  ...........

I mean you cannot claim both sides of the coin unless you are convinced that all the rights are or should be on one side only ...............

...

You didn't read my post.

I said that those supplying syria have their own ambitions.

That doesn't really take away from the fact that those inside may very well be true 'freedom fighters' just as with afghanistan.

At least with afghanistan, I do acknowledge their right to fight occupation.  Likewise, the syrian people have the right to fight against a leader that is killing them.

This is nothing new expatter.  This stuff has been going on for centuries.  Anyone involved in a civil war or invading force - outside forces will and do pick their own stake-horse in the game for their own reasons.

China is backing Syria for the same reason the US has backed Bahrain.  It's all about maintaining their own influence and protecting their 'interests'.

Doesn't mean that either has an actual hand it what created the whole mess.  They are just looking how to profit from it.

And is China supplying the weapons against its own agenda  ...........  ?

But more importantly as you rightly point out for Afghanistan .......

How does this bring peace  ..........    ?

But more importantly as ...

It's not about peace expatter.

In the case of Syria, China is backing Assad to appease Iran, who is an important trading partner.  Their relationship with Iran is more important.

Same with the US in regards to the Saudis.  We do things to appease the sauds - they give us great oil deals.

One hand washes the other kind of thing.  'Peace' isn't in the equation.
