Lake of Heart. Photo by: Jiang Xiandong. Excellence Award.
The composition with RGB as the basic colours creates a powerful visual effect. What the little lama faces is not only a crystal clear lake, but also the sacred realm he is pursuing.

Song of the Fisherman. Photo by: Zhou Yuhui. Finalist Award.
The photographer uses lighting and colours to create a dreamlike environment. The character in the backlight makes the action of casting the net appear extremely dramatic and poetic. The blue also adds a dreamy touch.

Guardian. Photo by: Liang Fan. Finalist Award.
The disparity in proportion of the person and the dog emphasises the image of the dog as a guardian. As a faithful friend of man, the guardianship of the dog is trustworthy.

Glory of Buddha. Photo by: Chen Feijia. Finalist Award.
A place blessed by Buddha, the magnificent temple and lamas’ dormitories become a landscape beyond imagination. The photograph makes the moment eternal.

Lama at the Lotus Lantern Festival. Photo by: Wang Xuepeng. Silver Award.
The photograph has hardly any post-processing. It is smooth and deep and it’s almost as if you can hear the sound of the bells and feel the lights. The lama is perfectly outlined by the light. Photography is not always obvious; more than often, it implicates. The lama at the Lotus Lantern Festival and its implications are so relaxing and fascinating.

Playing with Water. Photo by: Li Yuchuan. Bronze Award.
The high angle shot, perfect lighting and the shadows make the audience indulge in a golden glamour. Hopefully, this will not be photographically ephemeral.

Swan Lake. Photo by: Zhong Lihua. Shangri-La Quality Award.
Shangril-La’s qualities are extended in the tranquillity of this photograph. In Swan Lake, there is no devil or prince in Odette’s life. For her, the clear water, the fresh air and the sounds of nature around her are the most important. She can concentrate on dressing up. As long as the camera lens is not too close, it should be acceptable.

Eco – Travel. Photo by: Zhong Zuyi. Ecological Award.
The Z-shaped composition and the low-angle lighting reinforce the atmosphere and help suggest a harsh expedition to a bright future.

A Warm Morning. Photo by: Liao Xiaoxi Excellence Award.
Work at sunrise and rest at sunset. The further modern life is away from this, the stronger people yearn for it. Therefore, the photographer can’t resist the warm sunshine in a morning mist.

Where Hada is Floating. Photo by: Li Yuebo Excellence Award .
The subject in the background is highlighted by the heavy foreground, which creates depth in the photograph. It also creates a religious atmosphere, giving the photograph a highly religious overtone.

Underwater Grassland. Photo by: Wan Xudan. Finalist Award.
The photograph has a remote and dreamy atmosphere. Boldly named Underwater Grassland by the photographer, it focuses on a strong personal experience. The LOMO photography characteristics convey a damp feeling very well.

Snow Mountain Blues. Photo by: Du Junjie. Silver Award.
The composition of the photograph is bold and simple and the colours are pure and clear. The photographer expresses a yearning for beautiful scenery with the purity of blue. The religious and holy snow-capped mountains perhaps coincide with Shangri-La in the photographer’s heart.

Nice story, nice pictures. There are several versions and interpretations of Shangri-La, from the novel Lost Horizon.
