In the wake of a new wave of scadals in the Chinese pharmaceutical industry, we have to ask "is it the end"?

Are the new scandals "isolated incidents" as some have claimed?

If they are not, what are the root causes? How can we tackle these problems once and for all?

And the Chinese Minister of Health actually said: we should have confidence in these drug-porducing companies, and China's pharmaceutical industry in general.

Talk about dereliction of duty.

True.

But I have to admit the measures, if there are any, taken are far from enough.

Corporate social responsibility is very important, but none of these companies have apologized and they maintain that "it's common practice in the industry".

What about China's drug administration? Not even an official statement is offered.

Just learned that reporters who have exposed the scandal received life threats from those rogue local producers. Sad, and totally pathetic.

About the culprits; they know they're wrong but they won't apologize till they're forced to (by the authorities I believe), or pay for it thru legal punishment.

About the administration; I think it's better they find out what is happening and try to catch all the "bad guys" before offering explanations that can be wrong.

About the reporters; it's sad but true that anywhere around the world the messanger gets killed, not the culprit!

Moral education has failed in China.

It failed because the environment is polluted by no morals leaderships.
I've made my living, Mr. Thompson, in large part as a gambler. Some days I make twenty bets, some days I make none. There are weeks, sometimes months, in fact, when I don't make any bet at all because ...
