Indeed.

But I would also point out that labelling is one of the reasons why rational discussion can't be possible. (Like your use of "wu mao" here -- although I do admit there are quite a number of them here.)  Anyone criticising China is branded a China-basher or Western propagandist, and anyone who praises China is called "Wu mao".

It's totally true that there are those 50 cent party - from both sides - out there.

Problem is, authentic posters now don't even bother to see if those who hold opposing views are paid posters or not, before quickly jumping at each other and calling each other as such.  

That's not conducive to discussion at all.
