The Cultural Revolution was a comprehensive reform movement initiated by Mao Zedong in 1965.  As economy continues to develop, Wen said, problems such as income disparity, lack of credibility and corruption have occurred.

The first reaction after i read his in chinese

Political reform

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao said that China needs not only economic reform butalso political reform, especially the reform of the leadership system of the Party andgovernment.


Wen warnedthat tragedies like the Cultural Revolution may happen in China again should the country fail to push forward political reform to uproot problems occurring in the society.


It's interesting that he compares tragedy with cultural revolution, cause this is rarely a revolution in beginning, but starts with a wrong decision or more of an 'order' coming directly from the highest commander

as if they have lost control over this....

i would doubt his good intention with..
