08. Tsinghua University

Founded in 1911, Tsinghua University is considered by many to be the best university in China. Covering 356 hectares, it is also one of the largest universities in China. Located on the site of a Qing Dynasty royal garden, the campus retains Chinese-style landscapes and buildings, as well as Western-style buildings that reflect the American influence in its history. The campus was named one of the most beautiful in the world by Forbes in 2010.

07. The University of Copenhagen

Located in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, the University of Copenhagen is the oldest and largest university in Denmark. The university is famous for its splendid landscape, featuring large areas of lawns and ancient architecture from the Middle Ages. The university also boasts modern buildings, including the Green Lighthouse, the first carbon neutral building in Denmark and Bikuben Student Residence. Another highlight of the university is the Bikuben Student Residence, which is a building with 107 studio flats on six floors. The building includes a gym, laundry room, terraces, and a party room.

06. Scripps College

Scripps College is a prestigious Women's University in America and ranks number three in the list of America Women's University. The 30-acre campus is designed by famous architects Gordon Kaufmann and Edward Huntsman-Trout, primarily in the Mediterranean Revival style. The rose garden between Toll and Browning Halls is designated for students to pick roses, and many women keep fresh-cut roses in their rooms. Various kinds of fruit trees can be seen in the campus, including orange, grapefruit, kumquat, olive, strawberry and loquat.

05. University of Bologna

Built in 1088, University of Bologna is regarded as one of the oldest universities and the "mother of universities" in Europe, with a history of more than 900 years. Its campus features sprawling loggias, beautiful arches and red-tile roofs to make an unforgettable architectural impression. The long history of the university and the city has left many exquisite and spectacular architecture, such as the Archiginnasio of Bologna, the striking botanical gardens and the famous Two Towers. 04. University of Virginia
Established in 1819, the University of Virginia is a public research university founded by Thomas Jefferson and is the only university in the United States to be designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The most famous and unique architecture of the university is found in the "Academic Village". It features the grand Lawn, terraced green space surrounded by residential and academic buildings. The Lawn is one of the landmarks in the university. Another highlight on the campus is the Rotunda, found in the center building of the university. It has half the height and width of the Pantheon in Rome.

03. Stanford University

Founded in 1891, Stanford University is one of the most prestigious universities in the world. The university was designed by landscape architect master, Frederick Law Olmsted. It is more like a park than a university. Entering the university, you will see colorful flowers, green lands and large trees. The teaching area of science and technology is a mix of newly built buildings and classical Mission Revival buildings built in the earlier times of the university. It features solemn palm avenue, romantic Spanish style red tile roof and countless Greenland.

02. Yale University

Yale University, in New Haven, is a private Ivy League university that was founded in 1701. Some of the iconic buildings on its campus including Colonial Revival and Ingalls Rink are still considered as the most amazing university structures in the world. Many noteworthy 19th-century mansions along Hillhouse Avenue were also restored to their original splendor.
