You get what you measure,一般译为“所测即所得”,这里的“测”指的是测评,即你测评的目标是什么,就会得到什么结果。

by the way, nothing about the language, but the idea of your get what you measure seems to indicate a risk that the act or rather the scope of measuring will limit the results, kind of  like the way that people see what they want to see````, just some random thoughts

Only those who have the patience to do simple things perfectly ever acquire the skill to do difficult things. ------John Christoph Freiedrich Schiller 1759~1805 German

[you get what you measue]:你会到达你在评量对象里所设下的目标。
When you decide what to measure, you set up your goal.
But when you choose what to measure, you also choose the conclusions of your experiments.
The author claims that situations involving human behaviour, if you measure something, the results are affected by the very process of measuring it. And the end results or side effects might not be what is good or desireable.
