Vienna has the best living standards in the world for the 3rd consecutive year, according to the Mercer 2011 Quality of Living Survey released Tuesday.
Zurich and Auckland follow in 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. The survey by Mercer, a US consulting and investment services firm, covers 221 cities globally. The survey also identifies those cities with the highest personal safety ranking for the first time.
Luxembourg tops this ranking, followed by Bern, Helsinki and Zurich which take joint 2nd place. Hong Kong is the 3rd highest-ranking Asian city in both categories.
