TAIPEI, Taiwan (AP) -- Hong Kong film star Jackie Chan said Sunday that Taiwan's recent presidential election was "the biggest joke in the world."

Chen Shui-bian narrowly won the March 20 vote. The opposition wants to nullify the results after Lien Chan lost the election and claimed the vote was marred by irregularities. Thousands protested in the streets for a week after the vote.

"eople will talk about it for 100 years," Chan said at a news conference in Shanghai. "It was a shame. Not so good to look at. I was very upset and couldn't fall asleep."

Jackie is on the mark.

Jackie is only saying what 3/4 of the human race is saying. We are having a good laugh at this 'soapy' that is the Taiwan election. I notice that the local key-stone cops cannot deal with the shooting incident and has to call in three (you guessed it) American detectives to help. The next thing we know the Chen government would need some American to wipe their noses as well. I am set for a long comedy.
