My sojourn in China HAS taught me that SOME people or even traders are cheats  ..............

As for the former, I would imagine it could be considered improper not to give the condemned a final meal before such an important event whether it be weight or consideration  ...........

As for the latter, I have seen that many times  ..........

That must surely tell us much about the unwashed and uneducated in China  ..........

But, we also might have to take a step back and consider why that is so  ..........

Sure, it tells us that, and with all due respect, that the great majority of the "unwashed and uneducated" Chinese people worship money to such an extent that as long as they get it, it's ok to cheat. trouble is that money is an empty lifeless tool, nothing more. It's useful when we have it, we need a certain amount to live, but beyond that, what does it give us? To Chinese folks, in my long years there, it was their overriding concern...not love or happiness. I can understand some of this sentiment given China's history but, really, money doesn't uy us anything truly special except the ability to survive, and maybe, to some extent, security. It's a tool, useful, but only for certain things....nothing more!
