Family of the drive who died in the train crash on July 23, in Wezhou, Zhe province, won't be compensated, according to Chinese media.

The only money his family got is 50,000 yuan from the insurance company, the reports said.

Some initially suspected whether the 38-year-old driver was "driving while tired", a claim which was later vehemently refuted by people including the conductor on the train.

"If he had jumped for his life, instead of applying the emergency brake, the death toll would be much higher," said the train conductor.

Pan Yiheng, the driver, left behind a 7-year-old son and a wife who has no job.

It seems the value of lives is different after all, even inside China.

A train hostess is also reported to have been killed in the accident. No word yet about whether her family got compensated or not. (most probably not)

Let's wait and see how much money the families of those perished international passengers could get.

I believe in their kind-heartedness, but I seriously doubt they will be fooled again to donate to that filthy Red Cross Society in China. If they do, I say they are fools -- foolish enough to fund the Society's libidos, foolish enough to fund the Society's rotten parasites.

And, why should the general public clean up the mess when every time the government commits serious mistakes or even crimes?

He probably paid more than 50,000 yuan just to get the job as is common in the China rail industry.
