Libya: France risks Nato split over call for Gaddafi talks

France risked opening a significant split within Nato over the war in Libya yesterday by calling for negotiations with Colonel Gaddafi and confirming it was "passing messages" to his regime."

French proposal would see Gadhafi remain in Libya

France has offered Libyan despot Moammar Gadhafi an olive branch, calling for talks between rebels and the regime and suggesting the unpredictable ruler even might be allowed to remain in Tripoli.

Until now, France had been the most hawkish of Western governments, the first power to recognize the rebels and the only one to push far beyond the UN protection mandate and air drop weapons and ammunition to anti-Gadhafi units. Widely seen as a reversal from Paris, the gambit also hints at worsening cracks in the NATO-led alliance."

This would be funny if it  weren't so pathetic! And how many hundreds (thousands) of lives have been lost coz of this French Sarkozy Napoleonic nonsense? He wanted war and he got it, he recognised the 'rebels' first, dropped weapons for them just last week, and now he wants the rebels to talk to Gaddafi....?

China has been calling for talks from the very beginning and even had the rebel leaders in Beijing to press that point. But China was laughed at, especially by the mental midgets infesting this site. Of course these same midgets applauded midget Sarkozy for his war stance, which probably made him feel taller. Now he wants to talk....which is what China suggested months ago....!!!!

This part makes me want to Chuckle, chuckle, chuckle....!!!!

Libya: France risks Nato split over call for Gaddafi talks

France risked opening a significant split within Nato over the war in Libya yesterday by call ...

Something tells me that French spies told Sarkozy of the massive support Gaddafi has (lots of them carrying Kalishnikovs) and Sarkozy realised that his boys would be butchered by old men, women and children in the streets of Tripoli. He got cold feet and now wants to talk.... Not much of a revolutionary, is he....?

Chuckle, chuckle, chuckle.....!

Gadhafi salutes NATO

France has even called the NATO bombing campaign a failure, joining China and Russia in opting for dialogue with Gadhafi.

Meanwhile, Gadhafi has thanked NATO for increasing his popularity in Tripoli.

nothing in history suggest good guys have to win every round.

good guys just have to do good guys stuffs. That is what revolutionaries are all about.

The French modern, democratic, flexible and have saved the lives of plenty of revolutionaries.

One can always depend on China to throw revolutionaries to the wolves including Chinese and Gadafi wolves. hahahahahahaha

we will just have to wait, don't we? hahahahahaha

nothing is as simple as that.

Gadafi survives round one,

But there will be rounds two,  three, four, five until Gadafi is hanged or he flees. That is understood. The genie cannot be put back into the bottle already. Nothing will remain the same as before.

France says NATO has failed in Libya

the solution is simple. Either double up or retreat.

Revolutionaries will probably take a rest and resume the revolution in a few months time. hahahahahahahaha
