As Cui Tiankai said,

"I believe the individual countries are playing with fire, I hope the fire doesn’t reach the United States.”

Cui Tiankai is China’s vice foreign minister.

If it comes to that "fire", what about if the US "fire" reaches China? Just a thought folks and merely playing devils advocate here! To see the whole, you need to see both sides!

Expeditionary forces are VERY EXPENSIVE.

3 is enough.
Most expeditionary logistics nowadays uses AIRLIFT capability.
Cheapest form of delivery.

In war, NON STEALTH ships are "sitting ducks"........
You might need an expeditionary force to create the BEACH HEAD, but the reason is quite strategic if you lack FRIENDS or ALLIES in the vicinity - THEREAFTER, it's the airlift to resupply or send in more manpower - THERE IS NO NEED TO HAVE OVERSUPPLY OF MILITARY ASSETS.
