I think China is trying very hard to build its own weapons.  War machines made by the Russians are
usually missing few screws here & there, on purpose of course.
Watch your thoughts, for they become words.

We only pay USD 20 million. Oppssss i forgot the amount your goverment paid, hmmmmmmm more than USD700 million??????? Sorry i really forgotten.

You paid USD 20 million for an old hlk and spent billions refurbishing, even before it's operational and let's not forget the necesaary air wing! Now who looks stupid!
Oh, P.S; you have no idea how to use it, integrate it into fleet ops and have no institutional knowledge of this kinda thing so if you think it's going to be China's naval panacea, think again!

China bought a bit of obsolete, unfinished junk destined for the scrapheap, on the basis that it was going to be turned into floating amusement casino or something.

Hardly state of the art.

Yes, that was the reason that it was sold, but China broke the spirit of the contract in which Varyag was sold....honourable huh?
It was only allowed through the Bosphorous on the condition that it'd never actually be a warship.

Billions of dollars????

We are not that stupid to use billions of dollars to refurbish it. You are right, we dont have the experience to operate an aircraft carrier so the carrier main purpose is for training.

P/S: Even we use billions of dollar which is not the case, we still have alot of billions to waste. Don't be jealous.

I'm not jealous, I'm sad for the people who will die trying to land on it, and their families. Like I said, China will be pushing poo uphill for a long long time before they have a coherent naval aviation wing available for combat ops, on carriers.
P.S; yes, you ARE that stupid but, as you said, China has the cash to waste. I wonder what ordinary citizens would think if they saw the total cost of refurbishment etc, not to mention the cost of the air wing. I can think of many other things China could INVEST, not waste money, in! I dare say many Chinese folks could too. Think on that if you will.

Then why are you so sure the chinese can't handle the carriers? You are the most stupid person i ever come across.

Even if we really wasting money, it's our money, the hard earn money the chinese earn by themselves. We don't steal and kill.
