Why would it lead to civil war?  I just don't understand this type of thinking.  Is the CCP so fragile that allowing freedom of speech would cause the end of government and civil war?  If your government truly is that fragile, that should be of major concern for the chinese people.

Access to information and freedom of speech are all pacifiers for the people.  It leads to less political instability, not more.

Why is this so hard to see?
