plutonium, slightly warm, other than that it is safe enough to handle with bare hands. interesting?

and if you give it to terrorists, they wouldn't know what to do with it.

The "news" blackout is quite intense, but it appears plutonium is leaking from Reactor 3.Reactor 2's
containment vessel has been breached by the melted down core.Grim.

the latest news from the inspectors is that increased levels of plutonium have been detected in the soil around the reactors.

seems there has been a lot more "fine particle dispersion" of radio active material than they were willing to let on about - the readings of iodine and cesium have spiked up ward sharply in the sea.

and something else the nuclear boffins were talking about was the formation of radiocarbon - as the vaporising fuel rods emit the various alpha/beta/gamma radiation it is changing the atmosphereic nitrogen into carbon 14 at high rates. while they do not expect any serious effects in the short term from this it will act on humans over a long tern producing high levels of cancer problems.

I did a bit of research into this after hearing that and it is a very interesting subject and one of the reasons why atmospheric testing of nuclear devices was stopped.

If we look at the high rates of cancers in people around the world today it possibly links back to the earlier days when they were playing with their big bombs in the Pacific.
Man created god before god created man and the world has been in turmoil ever since. Dots freak some people out - so they join them with lines that aren't really there.

looks like you get a passable grade. Now, go do some research on plutonium.

once you get to know mr plutonium, you will find yourself more relaxed.

"luckily the wind is still taking most of the airbourne stuff out across the Pacific (maybe not so lucky for USA though) - and everyone in Japan has fingers crossed wind does not shift to onshore."quote

Wind direction will change during summer months.
Reverse direction - wind blown from Pacific ocean to onshore Japan and Asia mainland.

I'm afraid all of Japanese production will be affected by toxic radiation.
E.g cars, electronics, household appliances, etc, etc.
Toyota, Nissan, Honda will see their productions & profits plummeting to unimaginable levels.
Who will be no. 1 in car manufacturing ?
GM, USA will regain the crown?
Please don't shoot, I'm just a babe.
