It's BR(I)MS - Brazil, Russia, (Aztec Indians), Mexico and South Africa.

There is no BRIC nonsense!
These states are not "rivals" of USA but the source of available "resources" that remain "independent" of American Power!

cheerios!

Russia and China did not "veto" BUT

it's the European Union - especially France and Catholic Europe that has the "biggest impact"!
it's like an "Arab Century Plan" to use the "oil and gas weapons on the European Union and Japan/Korea"!

Probably Arab money would "flow" to Russia, China, Spain, Italy to obtain "deadly weapons" that the CIA did - to damage the "Russian army in Afganistan"! USA might need to "deploy" at least another 150,000 men to "occupy" Libya to ensure crude oil flows again!

cheerios!

I think the USA is a bit leery of putting troops on the ground in libya (albeit they would already have SEALS there spotting for the cruise missiles along with the pommie SAS.

I think it would be a "UN" (NATO) force from Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Netherlands and Greece that would be the bunnies in this little game.

It could turn out to be a very expensive exercise for any invading force though as the Gadhafi forces will simply melt into the urban areas among the civilians - same as the insurgents did - and make it a house to house - street to street fight - a costly way to fight a war in terms of human life - and I doubt Obama would be stupid enough to send in a lot of US ground troops - the USA is already seen as the big satan in arab countries and a lot of arabs would rally to the fight.

Oil is the key though that's for sure.

Poor old arabs do not realise the power they have under their feet.

cut of the oil to the west and their mighty military machines grindsw to a halt on cooked bearings and theiy would have to invade in sailing ships.

You also seen the "anomaly" in the "range of the crisis"!

Fu-cking hell - it's an "Arab Century Plan" - the use of "crude oil production" to "manipulate" USA!
No doubt BR(I)MS states will be the primary beneficiary due to "high crude oil prices" benefit their supplies!

Only the American ally, Saudi Arabia is trying to "prevent" these "Arab Century Plan" of global domination!
Japan, Korea, British Forces should try to defend Kuwait, UAE mini states! from Predators!

We need American troops "ON THE GROUND" in Libya to ensure "quick return to normalcy"!

cheerios!

Do you understand the difference between a no-fly zone and direct intervention? Clearly you don't....

Although five members of the 15-member council abstained, the resolution gave legal authority for subsequent air and seaborne attacks against the regime of Muammer Gaddafi.
