Revolution is a form of unofficial democracy. The ultimate democracy if you like. It is a repudiation of the state, a disavowal of the shackles of state, no longer representative of the majority, of us.
True democracy is impossible, for logically it devours itself. Representative democracy, a republic, on the other hand, is a pretty good model. As long as it is very limited in power and cannot be unduly influenced by moneyed individuals or corporations. Ideally, capitalism and a republic coexist together.
The moneyed powers are only powerful with our consent. They are powerful, but not so powerful that they maintain complete control. Although, that is their wet dream.
