According to the city's proposed pet law now being reviewed at the local legislature,  owners in Shanghai may soon find themselves allowed to raise only one d.o.g at home.

The city's draft legislation on d.o.g  management makes it explicit that each household can have only one d.o.g , given Shanghai's high population density and limited living space, it said.

If their d.o.g have puppies,  owners should give them away to other eligible adopters or send them to government-approved adoption agencies by the time they are 3 months old, so as to abide by the one d.o.g- policy, the draft regulation said.

The alternative, it said, is for owners to perform sterilization surgery on their d.o.gs.

Is it necessary to limit one d.o.g  for each household? I don't think d.o.gs bring inconvenience, but people do. Should the government improve public knowledge about how to raise a d.o.g and how to prevent them from attacking people and littering instead of forcing them to raise one d.o.g only?

Less is more.
More is less.

it's a good idea for local government , if there have too many  family pets in one city,  it may  appear  a series of problems .  we must try hard
to create a clean city for our  better life.

Why not a one-cockroach, one-mosquito and one-rat per inhabitant policy?

Weirdo Senny,  you can promote  this policy in your own country.  Ahem, which country is it? Don't be coy!
