Getting married cost us a lot in nowadays of China, especially in a big city, like Shanghai. According to Chinese culture, man should provide an apartment to the couple, possible a car as an option. Also man has to give amount of money to woman's family, about 50,000RMB, it depends on the average income of citizen.

As the price of an apartment is so high, if you want to marry a girl as a man, you may pay huge, and you may be in a debt due to a marriage.

I'd feel ashamed to spend so much on marriage in China, to be frank (if the 200.000 Yuan all are spend on the party itself). However, if it includes honeymoon, I'd also be willing to spend a considerable amount, as honeymoon should be a unique and fun experience.

If you had no serious budget restrictions, how much would you be willing to spend on your marriage? Would you prefer showing off, having a huge party, or would you invite a decent small group of friends and families to witness your "I do"?
